"Do you know what's going on?" Ekki asked the girl, but she juts shook her head. Ekki opened his mouth to ask the boy too, but he was staring out of the cave at something distant. Ekki looked in his direction and saw a man in flowing robes walking-- or rather, crawling through the small gap he hadn't noticed before. With a quick brush to remove the clotted dirt from his clean white clothes, the man stood up (though he had to stopp in the low cave) and turned to face them all. He seemed extremely surprised to see them there, but equally relieved.
"Good it's just children," he muttered. "What are you kids doing in here? Where are your parents??" he demanded, and showered them in a volley of questions. "Didn't you hear the alarm go off? They're coming! You should be miles away from this place. Now come along." He grabbed the girl and the boy's hands in his left hand, and Ekki's in his right, and pulled them out of the cave.

Sunshine poured out on Ishiko's face as they came out of the dark, cool cave. She looked up at the man, that looked like Noah or something. The man shot a look at her and stared until she backed away, not knowing what to do.The man she expected was one of boy's father or grandpa." Uh..Sir.Where are we?" I asked nervously." Don't tya know!!! Destiny Islands!! The island of your destiny. This island is where your destiny flows to you like the waves flow every night at six PM. Every night." he whispered. She looked at the other boy that was taller. He looked at her and then she realized she was gazing.Ishiko looked at her feet shyly, letting the man pull her.

The man pulled them along the beach until Ekki stopped and refused to move. "Who are you? And what do you want with us?" The man stared at him as if he were an imprudent fool, and then his face seemed to soften in the sunlight.
"I am sorry," he said sincerely. "Rii told me a group of kids would be waiting in the cave" --he nodded back to the cavern they had crawled out of-- "I suspect she hasn't told you of anything yet? Oh and my name is Noah." ((heh the name seems to fit him, don't it?)) He held out a bony old hand, and, after a moment of hesitating indecision, Ekki shook it.
"All will be explained in due time," Noah told them, "but we have to wait for Rii. For now, we can wait in the inn-- as the sun seems to be setting in its slow descent." He waved hand towards the setting sun and led them to a hut that seemed to be attached to a large tree; the wooden structure wrapped around the branches like a boa ensnaring its prey. He led them up a ladder and inside the house, where a group of people were already sitting. One of them, a tall grey haired woman, stood up at the sight of them entering.
"Who are they?" She spat, looking at them in disdain. "You know we can't allow any more people through the portal, Noah, just what do you think you're--"
Noah raised his hand for silence. "Rii brought them. She believes they are the destined."
The woman laughed coldly. "The Destined?" She scoffed. "That's an old wives' tale. The Eeries are everywhere, and growing everyday. The Destined won't help us-- they daren't, for fear of being exterminated by the Eeries. Only us Crusaders can save our race."
Ekki pulled on Noah's sleeve, and pointed at the other kids. They were yawning. "Can't this wait for later?" he asked.

Ishiko sat on the so called " bed" made out of leaves as blankets and dried seaweed for a cushion. She slipped into bed and gazed at the sky calmly, even though her stomach was doing ballerina twirls every 5 seconds. The stars twinkled brightly everywhere, smiling down at her." Ki ki ko....." a sound burst out from somewhere." Kik kik koko...." it sang again. She jumped up and scrambled around for a candle.Nothing. She climbed out of the window onto a tree branch asnd swong down to the soft sand with a plop. She heard the waves glide on the sand quietly, talking to itself. Ishiko scrambled to the beach, wet sand bunching up between her toes." ki kik ko...." it sang again." What is it and where is it?" she asked her self and went on searching, climbing up rocks and scrambling up trees. Finally she gave up. Ishiko lied herself down in a tree and closed her eyes.

Rii didn't return all night. Ekki sat up in bed waiting forever, but there was no sign of her return. He hoped something hadn't happened to her-- she was the only one who could explain to them three just what the hell was going on. He sat up quickly; he had heard a plop outside his window. Not realizing the beach would have different noises than his large home city would, he jumped out of bed and ran to the window. The girl, Ishiko, was running along the beach outside, and Ekki could hear a song she must've been humming. Disappointed, he slumped back to his bed and let the crash of the waves rolling in and out lull him to sleep.
The next morning, Ekki was awoken by a loud crash outside his door, followed by the door bursting open and a kid tumbling in. Like he had before, Ekki jumped out of bed to see his intruder, but it was only the boy who had been with him and the girl when they arrived on the islands.
"What are you doing?!" Ekki exclaimed. "What--"
"Sorry! I was looking for the bathroom..." The boy trailed off and muttered something about giant cats.
"Oh. Well, it's right down the hall from here." Ekki told him.

"d**n, it ain't like this back up in Seiren. Almost everywhere I go there's a chick waiting to bang." Tasogare murmured.
"Wait? Excuse me? Chick? Bang? Seiren?? What the hell you talk'n 'bout, dude. The Seiren? I learnt in history class that was a planet for the goddesses of Venus?
Benzaiten? Jesus, that world was destroyed along time ago, man. Quit fool'n." Ekki neglected.
"Yo, I dunno what they're teaching you in school, home-slice, but I live there." Tasogare explained. And they talked for hours and hours.
