Ekki quickly jumped back, avoiding the carriage tumbling down the street, but accidentally bumping into someone.
"Whoa, sorry!!" He called, but whoever it was vanished into the alley, leaving a small trace of something silvery in the air. Ekki shook his head; he must've been imagining it, but it look liked a completely silver girl.
Heaving his backpack higher, he continued the rest of his journey home through Bhujerba. Walking down Cloudborne Row, he wished there would be someone home when he arrived. But Saura, his girlfriend, had gone off to some hunt with her friends in the wilderness. So now he only had an empty flat to return to, and of course the pet bat that Saura had insisted on keeping.
Rolling his eyes as he thought of this, he casually slipped his hand into his jeans pocket while going up the stairs to his flat. That's when he felt a long metal object in his pocket. Stopping, he pulled it out and realized it was a key. A really old, rusty key. He had no idea how it got there, but he shoved it back in and ran into the flat.

"Hello, Ekki," Rylli grabbed his shoulder. Ekki whipped around in surprise. "Wh--who are you? What are you doing in my house?!"
"SHH!!" Rylli clamped a hand around his mouth. "They are coming. We must go, NOW." She kicked the window out, grabbed Ekki, and jumped out onto the busy street below.
~
"What the hell!!!" Ekki screamed as they shot down two stories, somehow unharmed. "Who.... are.... you?" Ekki demanded between huffed gasps as he tried to regain his breath. "And what the hell are you doing??"
~
"sh*tt!!" Rii looked behind her, spotting something that Ekki clearly couldn't see. "I didn't think they'd arrive so fast," she muttered to herself, ignoring Ekki's struggling. She pulled him down the street, blending through crowds and back alleys, always looking behind her. Then she led him to Cloud Terrace, where the street ended off the island and into mid-air.
"I'm really sorry about this, Ekki." She said, and flung them both off the balcony.
~
"What are you-- FUUUUUUUUUUC---" Ekki screamed, but was cut short as the air was whipped out of him.
~
"Oh, shut UP!" Rii clamped a hand around his mouth. They had landed in a small circular room, with hallways and ((bla bla bla, you know the description already))
"Come on," she muttered, and brought him through a door with an island shape carved onto it. The room was small and white.
"Where are we?" Ekki asked.
"We're in the transfer room." Rii replied. "Don't worry, it'll all be explained. If you're still alive after this," she said under her breath. She moved Ekki to the right side of the room.
"Now, you have to hold my hand, and you can NOT let go, whatever happens." She told him sternly. He nodded. Rii grabbed his hand and shouted,
"Apomakrynomai!"
And they disappeared.
